Heavy rainfall forecast for Andhra
 

Hyderabad : Heavy rains may occur in some parts of Rayalaseema region and four districts of coastal region of Andhra Pradesh over the next two days, the weather office said on Sep 3.

The Meteorological Department issued a warning for occurrence of isolated heavy to very heavy rains over Rayalaseema and in the districts of Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore of coastal Andhra.

The Met also forecast isolated heavy rains in the districts of Mahabubnagar, Khammam and Nalgonda of Telangana region in the state and in the remaining districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period.

The state as a whole has received 27 per cent excess rainfall as of today by recording 629.8 mm as against normal rainfall of 495.4 mm, disaster management authorities said.

In view of heavy rains, the reservoirs across the state were also brimming.
