 Allahabad : A team of health department, on Aug 24, collected blood samples of over 100 children suffering from fever in Baradeeh village in Mauaima block.
The health department took the initiative after, on Aug 23, two children died of fever, which was suspected to be due to malaria or brain fever.
Medical officer, Epidemic Cell, Dr Rajendra Kumar told reporters, "We have been investigating the case and medical assistance has been offered to children suffering from fever.'' He also maintained that the health department had also distributed medicines among villagers and even apprised them about the measures to check the spread of malaria.
The department officials said that they have been trying to know the cause behind spread of malaria. A senior health official said that blood samples of 100 children have been collected, who has complained of fever, pain and other related symptoms.
