Mozilla has released a fourth beta of its Firefox 4.0 web browser with new tab manager and sync features. Apart from these two features, it will also have graphics hardware acceleration option. Dubbed as Panorama, this new feature will aid users to arrange their tabs visually. Firefox 4 beta 4 is can be downloaded for Windows, Linux and Mac from here.
The all new Panorama feature represents tabs in the form of thumbnails of Mac OS X's Expose like interface. Previously known as Tab Candy, this is a new way to arrange your tabs in a more visual manner while working with large number of tabs. Watch this video by Firefox developer - Aza Raskin.
Basically, an array of tabs is represented in the form of thumbnails to switch between tabs, group tabs and check out what page is open where. Panorama feature can be accessed by a button on the top right corner, just above the "Feedback" button.
Also, the Firefox Sync add-on would sync your passwords, bookmarks, history, form data, open tabs and Awesome Bar to multiple computers and mobile devices like iPhone through Home App. Noting the importance of this Add-on, Firefox developers have completely integrated Sync as one of the features of Firefox 4.0. Of course, you'll need a Firefox Sync account to take your data anywhere. Visit Firefox Sync page for detailed information.
The latest versions of web browsers try to introduce a bit of eye candy as well as integration of important add-ons as core features. Do let us know what you feel about the new Panorama or not.
