Bhopal : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Aug 28 said his government was sincere to provide world class facilities to talented sportspersons in the state.
The State Government is committed to provide world class sports facilities to the sportspersons in the state and there will not be any problem in the promotion of sports, Chouhan said addressing the State level Sports Award Presentation ceremony.
Excellent coaching facilities would be provided for better training to sportspersons and the talented sportspersons would even be sent abroad for advance training and coaching if needed.
The Chief Minister said the sportspersons honoured for their outstanding performances would be given government jobs so that they can continue to excel in the field of sports.
Paying tributes to hockey legend Major Dhyanchand, he said that great sports personalities have been born in Madhya Pradesh.
Olympian and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna awardee Sushil Kumar, who was special guest on the occasion, appreciated the state government for its initiatives to provide world-class sports facilities in the state.
The Chief Minister conferred Eklavya, Vikram and Vishvamitra awards for 2010 to outstanding sportspersons on the occasion and also honoured Sushil Kumar with a cheque of Rs two lakh for winning laurels for the country.
