 OVS Industry, the Italian brand has been introduced in India by Brandhouse Oviesse, which is a joint venture of Brandhouse Retails and Italian apparel retailer Oviesse. Brandhouse Retails is the retail body of S. Kumar's Nationwide Ltd.
The first ever store of the company in India has been opened in Bangalore last week. The fashion brand that caters clothing range for men, women and kids seeks merchandise replacement after every 6-7 weeks.
Referring to the studies undertaken by Brandhouse Oviesse, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Ashok Dalal said that the Indians today have acquired a fast-lane lifestyle, but they are price-conscious consumers. So, with its mid-to-premium range of fast fashion, OVS Industry will be the best fit for the country.
In the first year, the company will import goods from Italy, while in the next year it plans to source it directly from the supply chain, informed the Director, Brandhouse Oviesse, Ms. Anjani Kasliwal. Sourcing goods from supply chain is a quite fast process and comparatively cost effective as OVS industry is a fast fashion brand, she added.
The company may also import merchandise from countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Vietnam and India. Brandhouse Oviesse will set up 190 stores in India in the next five years, at an investment of Rs1.62 billion.
