Nokia's upcoming touchscreen handset, the C7 has been on a leak spree (not the kind you're thinking of!) for quite some time now. Earlier this year, the phone was spotted on a Nokia website in the form of an XML entry.
The phone has appeared again in a set of new leaked images which makes us think if the phone is all set to be officially announced at the Nokia World in September. These latest leaked photos, posted by Chinese website are more of a hands-on sort of thing with most images being quite detailed.
The C7 is expected to sport a 3.3 or 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, will run Symbian^3 and will boast of an impressive 8MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash. This one is expected to be positioned below the N8. The C7 supports microUSB as well as a 2mm charging port. However, we wonder if Nokia would allow us to charge our C7s over USB. The phone also comes with a rather underpowered battery which, according to the images, is rated at just 1200mAH. Now, we wonder what stopped Nokia from designing a 1500mAH one that would have squeezed itself in the shell of the C7.
While the specs does look okay, a thing of concern is the kind of processor this one sports. In the days of the Snapdragons, the ARM 9 and the Hummingbirds, it would be outright criminal if Nokia opts for a slower processor with an equally sad amount of RAM in it. The C7 is expected to be launched by October this year.
