It was a nice way to begin the modern yet whimsical collection that unfolded on the catwalk on Day 4 of the India International Jewellery Week, presented by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council and marketed and produced by Tonic at Grand Hyatt on Wednesday.
Konkana looked resplendent in a five-row kundan, Raan Haar, armlet, bangles, earrings and splendid choker. For showstoppers, there could not be anyone better than the ever so elegant Sharmilla Tagore who captivated the packed house as she walked for Sawansukha Jewellers.
Sharmila was all dressed up in a black sari with badla work, as she showed off a diamond necklace, earrings and bracelet. Scene stealers included the Laksh Pahulja show that saw the sight of dolphins perched on one shoulder - a message to save the dolphin. Zoya by Tanishq was shining with a showcase that embodied luxury, timelessness and exquisite craftsmanship. Other shows of the day included Kriplanni & Sons, Surana Gems, Manubhai Zaveri and the grand finale by Bina Goenka.
