Chopra ropes in Oscar winner producer for

Vidhu Vinod Chopra is leaving no stone unturned for his ambitious Hollywood project 'Broken Horses'. The filmmaker is all set to go on floors with the movie and has roped in Academy Award winner Barrie Osborne as the executive producer.

Osborne has worked on Hollywood blockbusters like 'The Matrix', 'Apocalypse Now', 'Face/Off', and won the Best Picture Academy Award for 'The Lord of the Rings The Return Of The King'.

The 66-year-old executive producer had been living in New Zealand for the last 10 years through the duration of 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy. He has only recently moved back to Los Angeles for Chopra's new film. They have set up a production office on The Lot, which earlier housed the Warner Hollywood Studios.

A huge set is being put up in a desert town bordering Mexico and the US. 'Broken Horses' will have a western cast and crew and will start shooting from 13th September.

Besides Osborne, Hollywood veteran Fred Roos has also been brought on board as executive producer to put the project and cast together.

"Barrie helps us get the scale of the film right. As for Fred, I met him a few years ago as a student on the sets of 'The Godfather'. He was inspiration then and is an inspiration now," Chopra said in a statement. Roos has films like 'The Godfather' Part II and III, 'The Outsiders' and 'Lost In Translation' to his credit. He has worked with Osborne on 'Apocalypse Now' as well.
