 Ustad Amjad Ali Khan is looking for greener pastures now. The sarod maestro has taken to golf and wants to spend as much time as possible honing the skill.
And it is not a hobby, he reiterates, drawing parallels between the sport and his occupation, "Golf is all about manipulation, as is playing the sarod," he says, "The stroke, be it that of a golf club or a sarod plectrum, has to be precise and balanced. The softness with which the plectrum is struck determines the volume of the sound. Similarly, the force applied to hit the golf ball decides how far it will go."
