Amitabh shoots for campaign in Bhuj to boost Gujarat tourism

New Delhi : Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan says he felt "blessed and honoured" by the reception he received from locals in Bhuj when he arrived there to shoot for a campaign to promote state tourism. Bachchan, the Gujarat brand ambassador, wore the traditional Kutch costume for the shoot.

"As we make our way gingerly to the exit amongst hundreds of locals who have, armed with their mobile cameras and waving screaming hands, gathered outside to give me a warm welcome a la Garvi Gujarat style," the Big B, as Bachchan is also known, wrote on his blog Bigb.bigadda.com.

"I feel blessed and honoured that even in this remote corner of my country there are still some who show affection. Some who still value a contribution that I may have been able to make in my career," he added.

"Different costumes, different looks, first impressions all keep pouring out until finally when they dress me up in the traditional Kutchi costume. The smiles and expressions of the entire creative team seem to spread wide and far," the actor posted.
