 Alwar : Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today initiated works by performing "bhoomi poojan" for setting up of new unit of Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Limited (HMSIL)--involving an investment of more than Rs 1000 crore-- at Khushkheda near Tapukda in this district.
The unit with initial manufacturing capacity of 6 lakh two wheelers per year would be set up in a speedy manner and would provide direct employment to over 13,000 people, Mr Gehlot said.
The unit would also facilitate speedy work on state government's ambitious proposal of creating auto hub in areas around Neemrana, Tapukda and Khushkheda. Industries Minister Rajendra Pareek, Health Minister AA Khan, Sitting MP Jitendra Singh and a number of dignitaries were present.
