Visakhapatnam: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will perform the second phase of 'Govinda Kalyanatosavam' in tribal agency areas of the district from May 27 to June 6.
TTD Govinda Kalyanam Project Officer-on-Special Duty (OSD) Vijayaraghavacharyulu told UNI here yesterday that keeping in mind the encouraging response from tribals during the first phase of the programme in the East Godavari district in April, the TTD has decided to seek sponsorship for Annadanam programme to make it more orderly and organised.
The daily rituals at Tirumala like 'Suprabhatahm' and other sevas will be performed wherever the 'Govinda Ratham' is stationed, he said. The TTD OSD further informed that the 'Govinda Kalyanam' was being performed on the lines of 'Srivari Kalyanam' organised in the US and other distant places, to enable tribals to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara at the places close to their habitations avoiding the strain of going all the way to Tirumala.
