Dehra Dun : To send across the message of its conviction of cleaning river Ganga, government has decided to hold its cabinet meeting in Haridwar on April 30 on the banks of the holy river.
The decision to hold the cabinet meeting in Haridwar was taken by Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank, official sources said.
In a first of sorts, cabinet members would take bath in the Ganga at the VIP ghat and then discuss issues related to the state, they said.
By holding the cabinet meet at Haridwar, the state government wants to send across the message that it is sincere in cleansing Ganga.
