New Delhi : A day after a complete no-show on the first day of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week due to lack of a fire safety permit, the event finally kicked off on March 25, managing to get all the approvals.
"Everything is on schedule as we have managed to get all the required approvals. As of now, we have not decided about what to do with the shows that were cancelled yesterday (Wednesday). But we will come to a conclusion soon," Sunil Sethi, president of Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the organisers, told the media.
The first show of the second day started with a 15-minute delay. As a result, guests and media persons kept on entering the Main Show Area (MSA) at regular intervals. The three-designer show saw creative designs by Aastha Bahl, Ritesh Kumar and designer duo Gaurav and Ritika.
While Aastha Bahl had teamed tunics with transparent leggings, Gaurav and Ritika's collection had ruffled garments, and tulip skirts in the hues of pale yellow, brown and black. Designer Ritesh Kumar of label Ridzyn collection had garments with a lot of pleating and draping. Interesting use of zippers in the dresses was the prominent feature of his collection.
