Mathura : In an effort to check cases of cheating and impersonation in its entrance test, UP Technical University (UPTU) has decided to videograph the examinations, an official said on Mar 13.
"In order to assess fairness during examination, Videography of the entire examination process would be conducted. It would pave the way for appearance of only genuine candidates in the entrance examination," Prof Kripa Shankar, Vice Chancellor of UPTU said. Moreover, use of similar photographs in all the concerned forms has been made compulsory and any form containing unclear photograph would be cancelled.
"In order to maintain transparency an undertaking will also be taken from invigilators affirming that none of their relative is appearing in the examination," he added. The invigilators would also have to give an undertaking stating their non-association with coaching institutes. "Wrong information by invigilators would invite penal action including filing of FIR," he said.
