 Telecommunications is one sector where India is improving with every passing day. As more than half of India lives in villages it becomes imperative to disseminate telecom and broadband services to this sector.
To do so, Sachin Pilot, minister of state, Communications and IT, is planning to set up 11,000 communication towers in rural areas along a number of villages bordering Bangladesh and Pakistan. Many of the towers will be located in the tribal belts of Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram and Assam, according to reports.
