Adding a new member to the existing X-Slim series of ultra-portable notebooks, MSI unveiled its X360 laptop with Intel Arrandale ultra-low voltage processor. New X360 laptop comes in an ultra-slim form factor that is less than an inch thick and weighs 1.4kg. This laptop has a Color Film Print surface and boasts of a chic rhombic pattern.
We recently reviewed MSI X-Slim X350 notebook and found that this ultra-portable had a bad touchpad response and only two USB ports. How painful! Unfortunately, X360 repeats the same features. However, MSI has equipped this ultra-portable with Intel's ultra low voltage dual-core 1.06GHz Core i5-520UM microprocessor that supports Intel Turbo Boost technology. This processor is paired with Intel HM55 chipset and unspecified Intel HD graphics.
The 13-inch HD glare-type LCD display supports 1366x768 pixel resolution, making it pleasant to watch some 720p HD definition content. It also has an HDMI outpour. This notebook comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium, EasyViewer for better image viewing and EasyFace for face identification. Other features of this ultra-portable include D-Sub port, two USB 2.0, LAN Port, 2-in-1 multimedia card reader, 1.3megapixel webcam Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n).
This ultra-portable X360 offers nine hours of battery life with the help of MSI's ECO power-saving technology that offers five power management settings - Game, Film, Presentation, Word Processing, and Turbo Battery. Intel's Turbo Boost technology enables adjusting power levels as required by different applications. Pricing and availability details of the X360 haven't been announced as yet.
