Bangalore : The Department of Tourism, Karnataka, proposes to develop an aqua marine park and a golf resort at Tannirbavi Beach, about 12 km from Mangalore at an outlay of over Rs 300 crore.
An 18-hole golf course and a 50-room five-star hotel will be set up as part of the project through Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode. The Tourism Department has been allotted around 155 acre at Bengre village near Mangalore where the Tannirbavi Beach is located. The golf resort will be spread across 130 acre. The Department will provide the required land for the project, while the private company will be investing money to develop the project. Karnataka State Industrial Investment and Development Corporation (KSIIDC) are in the process to invite tenders for the project.
