Patna : The pandemonium in both Houses of Parliament had an echo in the Bihar Assembly on Mar 9 with ruling JD (U) and Congress women members trooping to the Well demanding passage of the Women's Reservation Bill in its present form.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Poonam Devi of JD (U) alleged that RJD and other parties opposing the Bill were anti-women and entered the well with ten ruling party members with Congress member Sunita Devi demanding adoption of Bill in its present form. Supporting the move by the women members, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said the RJD should support the Bill and parties opposed to it would be taught a lesson by voters.
