 New Delhi : Rejecting vice-chancellor P B Sharma's appeal to resume classes, students of Delhi Technological University (DTU) intensified their protest on March 10.
The students took out a candle-light march from their campus at Bawana Road to Rohini sector-11. They were demanding that authorities reconsider the conversion of Delhi College of Engineering to DTU and also revoke the suspension of two students who had initiated the protests. For the first time, a few teachers and non-teaching staff members also joined the students' protest on March 10.
According to students, nearly 80 teachers and other staff members joined them in the march. The students said they may boycott the mid-term exams beginning March 15 if their demands were not met.
