Rajpura (Punjab) : Five members of a gang have been arrested for stealing cars from the parking areas of busy markets in this town in Punjab's Patiala district, the police said.

Five cars, 25 mobile phones and 70 car batteries were recovered from the gang, the police said. "To dodge the police, one of the gang members, who drove the stolen vehicle, always wore a security guard's uniform. The members sold the spare parts of the stolen vehicles in various parts of Punjab and in other states," the police said.
