Aishwarya Nigam to make his comeback with `IPL Rockstars'

Aishwarya Nigam, the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Ek Main Aur Ek Tu is back in action with IPL Rockstars. Aishwarya will be performing for group A with his team mates Antara Mitra, Mohammad Irfan and Sandeep Acharya.

Aishwarya had shot to fame a few years ago when he won the Zee show with co-contestant Ujjaini Mukherjee (she was recently seen in Music Ka Maha Muqqabla). Aishwarya, understandably, is happy about this development and says, "Endemol has produced this show and I have a soft corner for them because they made Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar too. I am flying to Mohali today where we will have our first performance. What is really exciting is that we are going to perform in front of a live audience and there will be no public voting as the two powerful performers Kailash Kher and Sukhvinder Singh will be the judges."

What has he been up to all these days? "Honestly, I am happy the way my career has shaped up. I got my first break with Woh sikandar from Madhur Bhandarkar's Corporate. Then, last year I sung for the film Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aye. Lalit Pandit was the composer. And, recently I have sung a song for Salman Khan in his upcoming film Dabaang again under Lalitji. This song is a hardcore item number. I felt honoured when both Salman Khan and producer Arbaaz Khan praised me," he says, smiling.

"I am what I am because of my parents. They sacrificed a lot for me. Every day, after coming home from work, my father used to take me to Jagarata (Mata ki Chowki) where I used to perform and so I never had any stage-fright. In our house in Muzaffarpur, at my home there is a photograph of Mohammad Rafi among other deities," he adds. Before flying to Mohali he has a bit of advice for reality show singers. "They should behave more professionally. The way they talk to the judges and argue with them is not right. One should always respect our seniors, be it a judge or a spot boy, it should not matter."
