Mumbai : TiE-Hyderabad http://hyderabad.tie.org/ , TiE Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, in association with Department of Tourism (DoT), Government of Andhra Pradesh and The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, is going to host the TiE Travel and Hospitality Entrepreneurship Summit on March 26, 2010 in Hyderabad.

More than 300 entrepreneurs will get to network, pitch for strategic partnership, and tap investment opportunity at the Summit. The conference will feature industry experts like Neel Raheja Group President, K Raheja Group of companies; Sateesh Andra, Venture Partner, DFJ Ventures (that has raised USD 400 million and expects to invest USD 20 million each year in India in innovative start-up companies); N.V.S Reddy, IRAS, MD, Hyderabad Metro Rail and Secretary from Tourism Departments of Government of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Speakers and panellists for this one-of-a-kind Summit also include industry leaders, young founders of new-age travel and hospitality companies and leading Venture Capital firms will feature timely and the latest topics that govern the industry: Market orientation; Innovation procedures or Space for such; Use of information technology; Public Private Partnership Opportunities; Industry Insights; Value proposition in the Indian hospitality market; Strategic Advisory Alliances.

As per the release, the Summit is designed to benefit, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists who want to discover the emerging travel and hospitality trends and high-tech innovations during the Summit. It offers the opportunity to learn, as well as coach. "At this Summit our focus is to accelerate development of this sector and identify opportunities that will enable entrepreneurs to prosper, by winning the commitment of business and government leaders to make the changes necessary to facilitate the success of entrepreneurs and build a culture of innovation," said JA Chowdhary, Chief Mentor TiE-Hyderabad.

"The ability to innovate and build the right eco-system for entrepreneurial development is now widely recognised as an essential ingredient for a successful global economy. How can we contribute to this ability? This is an important question in the minds of Government, Entrepreneurs and Investors. The Travel and Tourism Summit should help to provide answers," said Dr Ramesh Babu, President TiE-Hyderabad.

"Our objective at the Summit is to present the Government thinking, its commitment and the necessary steps we are taking to change policy and obstructive cultural barriers and to enable collaboration with the private sector, emerging to achieve what, until now, has been unachievable in the State of Andhra Pradesh," added Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary Tourism, Andhra Pradesh. Ranjan added that access to capital is yet another big challenge for entrepreneurs. At this Summit we will also highlight the opportunity of establishing public-private partnerships to generate the funds necessary for entrepreneurs to transform their creative ideas into lucrative enterprises.
