New Delhi : Owning to popular demand Delhi School of Management (DSM), the on campus B-school of Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly Delhi College of Engineering has extended the date to apply for its MBA programme till March 22, 2010.
DTU forayed into management education in the year 2009 by establishing DSM. According to Prof. P.B. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, DTU, "The objective of DSM is to prepare managers of 21st century having a perfect mix of technology temper and managerial acumen to work in the globally competitive technology-intensive environment."
The two-year MBA programme offers specialization in knowledge and technology management/ supply chain management/ and information technology management with the maximum intake of 60.
A candidate to be eligible to apply for the programme must have a minimum of 60% marks in the following:
1. B.E./ B.Tech. in any branch of Engineering/ Technology
2. Master's Degree in any branch of Physical/ Chemical/ Mathematical Science like Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Computer Application, Electronic Science, Environmental Science, Operations Research, Computation/ Information Science
3. Master's Degree in Commerce/ Economics
However, a relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent CGPA for Scheduled Castes (SCs)/ Scheduled Tribes (STs) / Other Backward Classes (OBCs) candidates will be allowed.
Applications received will be short-listed based on performance in Common Admission Test (CAT) and qualifying exam. The short-listed candidates are required to appear for an interview and group discussion.
"Prospectus of DSM along with the application form can be downloaded from DTU's website until March 22, 2010. Downloaded applications must be submitted along with a demand draft of Rs.1000 in favour of 'The Registrar, Delhi Technological University, Delhi', payable at Delhi," said an official at the university.
