Mumbai : Culture Aangan Tourism Pvt. Ltd., which owns home stays in Sindhudurg region, Maharashtra offering rural experiences to visitors, is promoting the region by rolling out different packages for visitors.
The packages offer accommodation in different Culture Aangan home stays ranging from three night/ four days and four night/ five days and activities that will allow visitors to experience rural lifestyle. The packages offer the opportunity to explore puppetry, star gazing, dolphin watch, nature trails, backwaters and barbeque dinner, snorkelling etc. along with visiting temples and forts in the region. The packages cost around Rs 6000 per person per day which includes meals and accommodation.
Speaking with reporters, Rashmi Sawant, Director, Culture Aangan Tourism Pvt. Ltd. said, "We currently offer a total of 15 rooms at six homestays at Shirgaon, Sawantwadi, Oras, Kolad, Talwade and Malvan. Travellers can experience rural lifestyle by staying with the hosts and learning about their culture. The packages are targeted at international, as well as domestic tourists and we are marketing the same through our network of agents." The company undertakes hospitality training for home stay owners who are the host family for the travellers. The company recently registered and availed a private limited license. Culture Aangan is also developing a village with 15 rooms for Rural Tourism in Sindhudurg.
