New Delhi : BJP today slammed DMRC's decision to suspend the Metro feeder bus service in the city and demanded its immediate resumption.
Senior BJP leader V K Malhotra said Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit should direct the DMRC to resume the service. The decision has caused immense inconvenience to thousands of passengers, he said. The feeder bus services were suspended on March 5 after the DMRC terminated the contract with the feeder bus operator Rajasthan Bombay Transport Corporation.
The DMRC was running 120 feeder buses on 15 routes across Delhi and the services are available at select stations like Yamuna Bank and Kirti Nagar, Shastri Park, Welcome, Janakpuri East and Janakpuri West. Thousands of commuters rely on the feeder buses to reach their homes from Metro stations at a minimum cost.
