BenQ has announced the launch of a new netbook, the BenQ JoyBook Lite U121 Eco, which features an 11.6 WXGA LCD display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768.
The BenQ JoyBook Lite U121 Eco is powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, and will come with a choice of storage options including 160GB, 250GB, 320GB and 500GB hard drives or the choice of either an 8GB, 16GB or 32GB SSD. The new Joybook Lite U121 Eco is available in two colours: Ocean Blue and Arctic White. The netbook measures just 11.4inch x 8.2inchx 1.25 inches and weighs only 1.3kg (with 3-cell battery). The Joybook Lite U121 Eco netbook currently available in China, Taiwan and Malaysia but the price has yet to be announced.
The 2520 Atom CPU and 1 GB of DDR2 RAM mean its performance is no scorcher, on par with the ASUS 1201HA. From the design it is evident that the U121 Eco has been designed for a 6-cell battery as there's no protrusion of any sort. This battery is good for 4 hours and 17 minutes of video playback, which is very good. The speakers give out pleasant sound, bass shy (as usual), but they pick up some of the nuances.
The netbook support HDMI output, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, and HSUPA mobile broadband. It has two 2W speakers to ensure high sound quality. The BenQ netbook also features a 1.3mp webcam, 4-in-1 card reader and microphone. Thus, the netbook is a perfect device for making VolP calls to stay connected with your friends, families and relatives.
