"Part SUV-part sports car" in a radically styled package revealed for Geneva Motor Show.
Nissan has revealed its international crossover vehicle for the global market just ahead of the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, scheduled to kick off in March. The car comes on the heels of the Qazana concept that was seen at Geneva last year, and can be said to be a very real production interpretation of the concept car - but the jury is still out on whether that is as good a thing as it sounds.
We'll reserve our judgements for now, since no matter how bizarre the Juke may appear to some it still promises some potent firepower and real-world usability, much akin to Nissan's way of making cars. The B-segment car is being projected as a chunkier, funkier option to modern hatchbacks - so much so that it seems to draw design parallels with its Micra city car. Enthusiasts will hoot for the turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine though, which has been rated to put out 190PS of power from its 1.6-litre displacement.
We have already seen Nissan's focus on delivering light and nimble crossovers with almost SUV-like presence earlier with the Murano and the Qashqai, and the Juke is expected to carry the same theme forward with its 4-wheel drive variant that features torque vectoring and an independent multi-link rear suspension.
