M.S. Viswanathan the popular music director who is popularly known as "Mellisai Mannar' (Tamil, for "The King of Light Music'); has been awarded the Life Time Achievement Award and Prasasthi Pattiram certificate.

In his thanksgiving speech the veteran musician who has also acted and sung in few films says, "There are so many great stalwarts in the cine field compared to them I am a small dust. Even now I am growing in music field."
