LG GD 510 crosses 1 Million Mark in Sales

Korean handset makers LG and Samsung seem to have taken the touchscreen phone segment by storm. What started with the likes of the LG Cookie and the Samsung Star has now reached the likes of the GD 510 - and an entire range of Corby touchscreen handsets in case of Samsung.

There were reports about phenomenal sales of LG and Samsung touchscreen handsets earlier as well. This time, it's the turn of yet another touchscreen handset from LG to cross the 1 million sales mark. The phone in question is the GD 510 Pop from LG that has crossed over a million units in just 100 days of its launch!

The Pop is a typical mid-range touchscreen handset complete with a 3-megapixel camera, a WQVGA screen and a very unusual option for a solar charger. While the GD 510 might not be as feature packed as LG's other high-end touchscreen devices, it still packs in a punch with comprehensive multimedia support. With 8GB of internal memory, the device provides plenty of room for storing large collections of movies and songs. Thanks to the overwhelming demand for the phone, LG is introducing two new colour variants of the phone, aqua blue and lime, next month.
