 New Delhi : Congress MPs from Telangana region on Feb 22 demonstrated in front of the Parliament shouting slogans in favour of separate state.
Government must honour the statement of Home Minister P Chidambaram on December 9, 2009 and take steps for formation of Telangana state, Congress MP Madhu Yakshi said.
There were total 17 Congress MPs from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, who participated in the demonstration holding placards of 'Jai Telangana' and 'Jai Congress'.
'We would continue the agitation till our demand is met and if required we would quit from the party', MP Rajgopal Reddy said.
