Mumbai : In a bid to have pan India presence, CMYK Health Boutique, owners of 'The Four Fountains Spa' (TFFS), plans to operate 300 spas by 2014 across different cities in India.
The mode of operations for these upcoming spas will be management, franchise and business partnership (investors). This will be a mix of day spas and hotel spas. The required area for a day spa is 1,000 sq ft (carpet area) with six therapy rooms. Currently, four TFFS are operational in Pune, while by this month end, TFFS will be operational at Best Western Peace Valley Goa and VITS Hotel Aurangabad by the end of March 2010. The company is in discussions to operate spas in Manali and Lonavala.
Sunil Rao, Director, CMYK Health Boutique said, "We have set up the company with the motive of offering 'affordable' spa services to potential clientele. In India, wellness industry has a huge potential to grow. Our spas are aimed to comfort the first time goers as well. For instance, we try not to confuse clients with different types of therapies being offered at our spa and hence, the spa therapy has been divided in three categories: relaxation, general well being and beauty." The other two directors of CMYK Health Boutique are Anurag Kedia and Saurabh Garg.
As its regular practice, TFFS conducts spa workshop at all its spas. "The spa workshop is for those who want to learn spa therapy as a hobby. We conduct weekend sessions for three hours," informed Rao. TFFS has a training centre in Pune and there are plans to set up another training centre in Mumbai. Talking about the marketing strategies, Rao added, "We are keen to publish advertisements in print and electronic media, hoarding, Internet, vouchers and promotional offers."
The spas in the pipeline are as follows. They are 25 each in Mumbai, Delhi and NCR; ten each in Bengaluru and Chennai; seven each in Kolkata, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Pune and Nashik and in other Tier II and Tier III cities.
