New Delhi : American band Backstreet Boys' maiden live performance in the Capital on Feb 20 was a treat for their fans, who danced and screamed along their way, making sure that they enjoyed every bit of their favourite band.

Though fans had to wait a bit longer, but once the band came on stage, they enthralled the audience and took them back the memory lane to the early 90s when the group was at its peak. Backstreet Boys was performing at the annual Romanov Red Rock 'N India music festival at NSIC ground in Okhla, where South African band Prime Circle & Jayce Lewis and Indian rock bands Indigo Children, Five Little Indians and Swarathma also performed.

Dressed in black and white clothes, the group started their performance with their hit song "Everybody" accompanying it well with synchronizing dance moves. They mesmerised the audience with songs like "Quit Playing Games", and "As Long As You Love Me", among others, leaving audience screaming and shouting with joy, asking for more.

Formed in 1993, the pop band was made up of A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson. Later in 2006, Richardson left the group to pursue other interests. During their performance, McLean kept clicking pictures of the audience and told them to check their website to have a look at them.

When the band asked the audience if they want them to come back to India again and the crowd replied in one voice "Yes, We want you back" Before their performance, legendary singer Richard Marx wooed the audience when he greeted them in Hindi and said, "Namasteji". After that, he made sure that his songs do all the talking. He sang songs like "Endless Summer Nights", "Hazard" and his evergreen song "Right Here Waiting".
