New Delhi : The 45th annual convention of Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) will be held at The Leela Kempinski Gurgaon, Delhi (NCR) from October 22-24, 2010 in Gurgaon.
The theme for the convention will be 'Wellness Tourism'. The decision on the same was taken at the recently FHRAI Executive Committee (EC) meeting. Rajindera Kumar, President, FHRAI said, "Gurgaon is an appropriate location for the convention since this city has a supply of around 5,000 rooms. We are aggressively working to offer something different and innovative to our members with this convention. We look forward to an encouraging support and participation from member hotels."
The convention will be an innovative blend of tourism and wellness. "We will stress upon the fact that commitment to service should be performed by the wellness industry, as the hospitality and tourism industry performs. This is needed for the development of Medical Tourism as the tourism industry will play a crucial role in the future," added Kumar. However, committee will decide the chief guest, topics for business sessions and speakers for the convention in the next EC meeting.
