Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) : Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president Chiranjeevi on Jan 27 accused the Andhra Pradesh government and political parties of being obsessed with the Telangana issue by ignoring the implications of price rise.
"The Centre and state government are blaming each other for the skyrocketing prices. The government and parties are obsessed with the statehood issue," he told reporters here. The matinee-idol pleaded for market intervention by the government to check the spiralling prices.
Chiranjeevi deplored attacks on film production units in Hyderbad over statehood issue and remarked that Chief Minister K Rosaiah's apprehension that the industry may go back to Chennai is "not unfounded." "If the attacks continue, film produces may be constrained to go back to Chennai, which was once the home of the Telugu film industry," he said.
