Guntur (AP): PRP chief Chiranjeevi on Dec. 20 justified his U-turn on Telangana statehood issue and supported unified Andhra Pradesh.
"A leader should reflect aspirations and views of the people. A leader should be led by the people," he told students at Nagarjuna University campus, the epicentre of the agitation against division of Andhra Pradesh.
Chiranjeevi was emphatic that it is the leaders of Telangana who want separate Telangana for their personal ends, but not the people of the region at large. Chiranjeevi said the unified Andhar Pradesh agitation-led by students is a people's movement. He assured the fasting students in the university campus that he will pressurise the Centre to revise its decision on the Telangana issue.
