Mumbai : TVS Motor Co Ltd said on Friday it reintroduced its "Flame" brand of motor bikes that feature twin spark plugs after obtaining the necessary legal clearances, it said.
The Flame has been tagged at 49,200 rupees, it said in a statement.
TVS and larger rival Bajaj Auto have been locked in a patent case over the use of the technology in Flame and Bajaj Auto has said it developed and patented the twin spark plug technology in 2002.
On Sept 16, India's Supreme Court had allowed TVS Motor to sell the Flame brand containing the technology.
The Court had also directed that the suit before the Madras High Court be concluded by November 30.
TVS first introduced the Flame in 2007 but was forced to stop bookings after Bajaj Auto objected and a legal dispute followed.
Shares of TVS Motor ended up 2.03 percent at 60.25 rupees in a firm Mumbai market.
