Puducherry : One more person has succumbed to swine flu here, pushing up the toll due to the pandemic to five in the city.
A 24-year old MBA student Dilip, hailing from Mayiladuthurai in Tamil Nadu was admitted to Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) three days ago in a serious condition and died on Oct. 29, hospital Director Dr K S V K Subba Rao told reporters on Oct. 30. All the five swine flu fatal victims at the JIPMER hailed from Tamil Nadu. Officials said two more persons were undergoing treatment at the hospital for suspected swine flu. One of them was on ventilator support although he has tested negative for the H1N1 virus.
