Heavy rainfall has been witnessed in the Red Chilli cultivating regions of Andhra Pradesh which has resulted in water logging in the fields. Heavy rains in the region has damage the crop.

As per the initial estimates around 20-25 percent of the crop has been damaged due to the recent rains. On the other side, recent rains could provide momentum to the sowing of Red Chilli in the days to come. Rains would also facilitate sowing in the dried region of the state. Recent rains on one hand could delay the inflow by one month but on the other hand would improve the yield of the crop.
