Mumbai: Sony Entertainment Television is coming up with new show titled
"Dance Premiere League (DPL)", which is expected to run for a span of three months and will boast of big names from Bollywood.
In fact, the producers have approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit to judge the show. The show will have the common public as participants.
According to a source, "The production house is leaving no stone unturned in making the show a huge affair. The show is for commoners and there will be auditions at all the major cities in India. Cineyug has approached Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and they both have liked the project. The only issue with Aishwarya is dates as the show will last for three months. One is trying to get them on-board but the producers are also in talks with Arshad Warsi and Javed Jaffrey incase things don't materialse with Aishwarya. Madhuri would probably do the show but she has still to sign on the dotted lines. Choreographer Shiamak Davar has been confirmed as the task master on the show whose job is similar to that of an umpire in any match."
Informing about the hosts the source added, "Bidaai girl Sara Khan is almost finalised as the female host and we are in the process of finalising Eijaz Khan as the male host of the show. The show is expected to go air on 9 October, 2009."
