 Mumbai: Colgate Palmolive has recorded a 3% increase in net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2009.
The stock on July 20 opened at Rs 659, touched a high of Rs 668 and a low of Rs 650. The scrip is now trading at Rs 661, up around 3% from the previous close. The counter has witnessed trades of 32,000 shares on the BSE so far.
Recently, the company recently registered a 43% surge in the consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 to Rs 103 crore as compared to Rs 72 crore in the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
The revenue for this quarter has also increased 15% to touch Rs 468 crore as compared to Rs 408 crore a year ago.
