 Mumbai: Canon India, Indias No.1 Complete Digital Imaging Company announced the Eastern market to have registered the highest growth in most product categories in the first 5 months of 2009 over the same period last year. Canon also announced that it has become a leading player in East in the digital camera and digital copier multifunctional categories with 30% market share in both.
The announcement also included Canons achievement of 30% market share for laser printer nationally during April 2009. This results in the East being a 32% contributor in printer consumable sales.
The region's revenues are expected to grow at 30% and generate Rs 150 crore in 2009.
Ace cricketer and Canons brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar visited Kolkata to be a part of Thrill of Thirty - an event organised to celebrate the landmark.
