Kuka introduces palletising robots for Indian F&B sector
 
Mumbai: Kuka Robotics (I) Pvt. Ltd, one of the leading industrial robot suppliers in India, has introduced a range of world’s heaviest palletising robots. These robots will deal with the potential demand from food & beverage industry, FMCG and logistics industry in the country. According to the company, the new range of robots will help load goods safely and decrease wastage. In the words of Kuka, these palletising Robots ‘KR 1000 1300 titan PA’ and ‘KR700 PA’ could safely load goods of 1300 kg and 700 kg, respectively. RS Rathee, MD, KUKA Robotics, stated, “We are delighted to bring in the world’s heaviest palletising robots into India. With an improving economy and increased demand for goods, there is a huge potential for designing products to improve palletising efficiency in Indian industry.” In its statement, the company said that the growth of Industrial robots was taking pace in India as food & beverage, FMCG and logistics industries increased their operations in the country. Currently, the estimated market size of food & beverage, FMCG and logistics industries is about $70 billion, $24 billion and $14 billion, respectively. Rathore added, “As per our internal research we feel that the demand for heavy palletising robots is likely to grow in India and we feel that there is a large market for them in food, beverages, FMCG and logistics in the country.”
