New Delhi: Indian football team has retained its 147th place as per the July FIFA Rankings. However, the team has not played an international game since January.
At present, the Indian national team is in Dubai for a national camp after which they would be heading to Barcelona, where they will play four to five practice matches.
Again in August, the Indian football team will defend the Nehru Cup at Delhi’s Ambedkar Stadium. So there is not much of hope of an improvement in the August rankings but India would be hoping to remain at 147 like they have maintained in this month.
Asian ranking of India also hasn’t changed and they are still at 23rd place. Tajikistan, who are just below India in the Asian rankings are at 148th place while Bermuda are just above India at 146.
