 Mumbai: FMCG major Dabur India has forayed into the health shampoo market with the launch of Dabur Total Protect for its customers.
According to a company press release, the company is also planning to achieve 3 per cent market share of the Rs 2,600 crore Indian shampoo market in the first year of its operation.
Addressing at the launch, Kunal Dhawan, senior marketing manager, Dabur India Ltd, stated, “Dabur Total Protect Shampoo is specially targeted at the discerning and contemporary females between 18-32 years of age who care for their family and look for complete hair care solutions.”
As per Dabur, the size of shampoo market in India is pegged at Rs 2,600 crore and is growing at 15 per cent year-on-year. Dabur India is planning to garner 3 per cent share of the market in the first year of operation.
Dhawan added, “Innovative promotions, trials, consumer activation are being initiated by the brand to excite the customers.”
Dabur Total Protect Shampoo has been conceived with the idea of protecting the health of scalp and beauty of hair round the clock and contains ingredients such as Neem, Bhringraj, Triphala, Pushkarmool and Japa Pushpa.
