Kolkata: Filmmaker Buddhadev Dasgupta has again signed the talented actor Rajit Kapur for his next film, who won a national award for his role in Dasguptas other film Charachar.
The film, the shooting for which would start in September, will have Kapur playing the role of a middle-aged man who bogged down in his daily routine, shares his ideas and views with a young pen-friend. However, the man refuses to meet his pen-friend despite her persistent request. The story then flits between reality and fantasy.
Dasgupta informed that Rajit Kapur perfectly suits the character of a lonely, middle-aged, office-goer who is tired and suffocated in his ordinary world, but have the fear to let out his bottled up feelings.
As for the young girls role in the film, Dasgupta is still searching for a fresh young face. The film titled Rahasyamoy is loosely based on a novel he had written and developed 10 years ago from a story published in the Ananda Bazar Patrika.
