AMI introduces vehicle tracking system
Chennai: American Megatrends India (AMI India) has launched its vehicle tracking system (VTS) brand Falcon-i.

Speaking to the media on Monday, S Shankar, President, American Megatrends Inc, said that the company would also customise the product depending on the needs of the consumer.

Maha Govt. to hike VAT on mobile phones
Mumbai: The Maharashtra Government has increased the sales tax on devices to 12.5 per cent from four per cent, which may result in hike in prices of mobile handsets in the state.

This increase in value added tax (VAT), a kind of sales tax, on mobile phones to 12.5 per cent will come into effect from July 1. As per the analysts, the tax increase would push up the cost of Rs 3,000 mobile handset by Rs 250.

Mumbai: B K Modi group firm Spice Mobiles has introduced a Windows-enabled dual-SIM handset `Spice D-1111`, which comes with a price tag of Rs 18,499.

In a statement, Spice Mobiles said that the handset is based on Windows Mobile 6.0 platform and is equipped with a 2 megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth.
