Abhimanyu Playing 20 Characters In Upanishad Ganga |

The well-known actor, who has recently earned a lot of appreciations for playing the character of Chhota Shakeel in the film Jannat, Abhimanyu Singh is all set to play a number of 20 characters in an upcoming serial, very soon. The actor has already done a number of serials like Kkusum, Kahin Kisi Roz, Nazdikiyan and Koi Hai in the past and he is going to play the characters in the serial named Upanishad Ganga, made by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The sources from the industry have stated that the important characters that Abhimanyu will play in the serial include that of Vikramaditya, Tansen, Karna, Arjun and also a lot of others. However, the sources added that this is not going to be a mythological serial by any means.
While commenting on the story of the serial and also about his playing 20 characters in Upanishad Ganga, Abhimanyu said, "It is based on a contemporary concept which revolves around a theatre group that performs one hour plays on different characters. It was quite a challenging task for me to play the 20 different characters". He informed that he has the experience of working in theatre for quite a long period of about eight years as a part of Makrand Deshpande`s troupe, and said, "Theatre is like a learning ground but one must not join theatre to make money".
Abhimanyu Singh also said that he has decided not to do any other serial apart from Upanishad Ganga at the moment, as he does not want to spend 20-25 days in a month working in a serial. He added, "I feel there`s nothing interesting happening there right now. Plus, I`m not getting any good offers. I want to do something challenging and different than what I`ve already done". He was also talking about his experience while playing the character of Chhota Shakeel in the film Jannat and said, "It was a wonderful experience as the director gave me a lot of freedom on the sets to experiment with my acting". Further informing that he is also going to appear in Anurag Kashyap`s next film Gullal, Abhimanyu said, "I`m looking forward to this film where I`m playing a very good role".
