Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week, 2008 |

India`s most awaited fashion event is here. Wills Lifestyle has finally announced the names of the designers who are participating in this event. Besides the established designers new talents will also display their creation at this mega event. Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week 2008 will provide a platform to as many as 84 designers across the country. These fashion gurus and the aspiring designers will display their creation for autumn and winter.
The event will continue for 5 days with a total of 40 shows. If you are a connoisseur of fashion you cannot miss this chance to see the collections of around 61 renowned designers under one roof. Three new categories have been decided under which the fashion czars will display their creations. These categories are Creator,Heritage and Contemporary.
The WIFW Autumn/Winter 2008 edition will showcase collections by 84 designers on the runway and in the stalls. With a total of 40 shows and 61 designers on the show schedule over five action-packed days, WIFW A/W 2008 will exhibit the very best of the Indian fashion industry under one roof. This is a good way to organize the designers according to their forte. With a systematic presentation this fashion week has been successful in grabbing the attention of both the buyers and the sellers. Therefore, the WIFW is growing with every passing year.
Rathi Vinay Jha, Director General of FDCI, said, "Designers are the core of the fashion industry and play an important role in shaping fashion trends in India. This year we received an overwhelming response from the designers who wanted to participate in the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week A/W 2008. After great deliberation we have managed to draw a list including both reputed and budding designers who have the right blend of creativity and commercial viability. I wish all the participating designers the very best as they gear up to participate at India`s biggest fashion week."
