The popular and one of the most successful filmmakers of the Bollywood film industry, Rakesh Roshan is all set to cast the beautiful and stunning Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz in his next venture soon. The sources related to the production house of Rakesh Roshan have informed that the film is going to be an action romance and the `Indian Superhero` Hrithik Roshan will also be starring in this film. The famous director Anurag Basu of Metro fame is roped in as the director of the film.
When contacted, the Executive Producer of the yet-to-be-titled film, Shammi has also confirmed the news and said that Rakesh Roshan and Anurag Basu have already left for Los Angeles on Thursday for having a talk with Cruz about the matter. In his words, "Yes, Rakeshji and Anurag are in Los Angeles and had a meeting with Penelope. We haven`t signed her yet, though". According to another reliable source from the production house of Rakesh Roshan, "The role requires a very beautiful foreigner. Both Rakesh and his son Hrithik felt that Penelope would fit the bill perfectly. They spoke to Anurag about it, who seconded the idea. Thereafter, Rakesh Roshan`s company got in touch with Penelope`s office in LA".
While talking about selecting Anurag Basu for directing the film, the source said that both Rakesh and Hrithik were quite impressed with Anurag`s brilliant work in the film named Life in a Metro. The film really brought a lot of fame for Anurag, who started to get recognition in the industry with the film named Gangster. The source added that the upcoming film of Rakesh Roshan is likely to go on floor by the middle part of this year. According to the sources, the Hollywood beauty Penelope Cruz has already worked in a number of Spanish, French, English, Italian and Portuguese films and she also won the Best Actress ensemble award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006, for her performance in the film named Volver by Pedro Almodσvar.
